Sunnyside Cottage
Acrylic on canvas
A small glimps of a past life style, a families hard work full of memories and now sadly, sits silent, alone, for all to wonder who, why.
Sadly slowly deteriorates as weeds and the bush reclaim it. All who pass see it a wonder, of the stories it holds. A life time that has come and gone.

Raindrop Fairy
Galvanised wire, steel mesh, acrylic paint, plaster and glass ball.
Our fairy barely touches the ground and she lifts off to catch her rainbow coloured water drop. Her wings spread, her pointed ears listening to the world. The simplicity of life. She defies gravity and makes it look effortless. Made from galvanised wire and steel mesh. The strength of the wire speaks to her strength of spirit even though she appears weightless.

Roadside Series no .1
Cyanotype, aluminium and sterling silver
The Road Often Travelled
I am currently working on a series of cyanotype and mixed media pieces inspired by the flora i collect along a 1km stretch of country road I frequently traverse. I enjoy taking the very familiar but often fleeting glimpses of foliage into intimate studied pieces.

Serpentine Ridge After the Fire
Acrylic on canvas
Serpentine Ridge is between the Pieman Rd and Lake Pieman on the west coast of Tasmania. In February 2025 I was part of the fire fighting contingent that worked on the West Coast Complex of fires. The bush around Serpentine Ridge was impacted quite significantly when the Yellow Band fire made a run to the south. This is my impression of the heavily impacted by fire area I walked through on one of my shifts at those fires. Jethro Bangay 2025

Faceless Guardian of the Wild Grove and his snake, and his frog and his frog.. and his frog
3D Printed Resin, Acrylic Paint
Sculpt: White Werewolf Tavern
This hand painted miniature took over 100 hours to complete, bringing the mystical forest guardian to life with rich detail and vibrant colour. Printed using my resin 3D printer from an original sculpt by White Werewolf Tavern, every leaf, claw, and creature was meticulously painted to reflect the harmony and danger of the natural world. A tribute to patience, storytelling, and the magic of the miniature arts.

Inspired by the colourful buildings, canals and life in general on the Venetian island of Burano, this work reflects the vitality I observed in the Italian way of life.

Light, after the storm
Pastel over oil on board
Life is the great revealer—never more so than after a storm, under the low light of winter.
The dance of light and shadow has long fascinated me. Colours, subjects, and tones skip across the artist’s palette onto the canvas, inviting me to capture their essence—and inviting the viewer to see their special beauty as well.
This piece is an experimental work, combining soft pastels over an oil underpainting.
Soft pastels—my usual medium—pose a unique challenge when used in this way. The capture of pure pigment on the raised textures of the canvas was both exciting and, at times, delightfully unpredictable.
Thank you for sharing in the joy of this creative process.

‘Beached -After Botero
Oil on canvas
Botero was a Colombian artist who died in 2023 aged 93, His work depicts large people and animals painted in a bright and exaggerated style. My painting encourages the viewer to make the connection between the Botero family enjoying a day at the beach in the background with the juxtaposition of seals in the foreground

Katy Rogers
Between The Waves
Photographic fine art print
Katy Rogers captures everyday representations of family life on Tasmania’s North West Coast. She is inspired by her role as a mother and documents families through a candid, documentary-style lens. Her work leans into the messy and the ordinary-made-extraordinary moments of real life, with a soft spot for windswept hair and sandy toes. “Between the Waves” is a quiet celebration of childhood energy, playfulness and connection; a candid moment caught between the ebb and flow of the sea.

Reunion
Watercolour
This watercolour captures the tender moment of joy as a Little Penguin parent and chick are reunited after a period of separation. I aim to reflect both the fragility of their world and the strength of their bond with each stoke of my brush, a reminder that love endures.

Launching into Learning at Nixon Street Primary School
Paint on Canvas
Children aged 1-4 years old engaged in this collaborative art project. This process art was inspired by Jackson Pollock. The children splattered the paint waving their magic wands high in the air as they squealed with delight watching the colours fly. Messy art inspires creativity, fine motor skills and allows children to embrace the joy of the process!

Eucalyptus Response to Bushfires-Regenerative, Recycled and Resilient
Coloured pencil on watercolour paper
Bushfires are an integral part of our Australian landscape. With the devastating bushfires Tasmania has experienced over the past few years, I seek to explore the tenacity of the landscape and its response to natural disasters such as fire through my art. The iconic eucalyptus leaf embodies a dichotomy: it is both a provider of nutrients and the fuel for the fire. However, after the fire, there is regeneration. Nothing is more uplifting than seeing the slivers of new green growth alongside the burnt trunks of trees after a bushfire.

Tears for Ukraine
Woven Tapestry . Hand-dyed Wool weft and cotton wrap.
It was quite a surprise when a sunflower suddenly appeared in my garden which I had not planted. I watched it grow and on the day that it first flowered I took photographs of the occasion. To my dismay this was the same day that the war commenced in Ukraine. Some time later I decided to weave a tapestry using the photos for inspiration as it is the national flower of Ukraine and the colours of their flag.

All in together
Acrylic on paper
I chose to paint two donkeys as they known for their loyal and great character. They are gentle, affectionate and protective. This encompasses to me the ‘All in’ theme as well as Donkeys being social animals who can have deep and lifelong connections to not only their own kind but also human owners.
