A cheeky, good-natured 30-song musical romp celebrating the music, lives and customs of a group of young Club-goers on a typical Saturday Night out on the town at the Club A Go-Go.
Set in swinging London in the mid- Sixties, A Slice of Saturday Night is literally a theatrical slice of the mores, customs, and music of young people in 1960s England and elsewhere when rock’n’roll was emerging amongst youth culture around the world, along with a freeing up of youthful behaviours and customs. Many of these aspects of these ‘hip’ times are dealt with in the show both musically and in its dialogue and dance. All in all, the show isn’t so much about the 60s, it is the 60s – alive and real!
