Expression of Interest – Sound and Light Commission | Waterfront Park, Devonport

Devonport City Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced designers and creatives to develop a new audio‑visual presentation for Sky to Sea, the immersive sound and light installation located at Waterfront Park, Devonport.

This commission will deliver a new 14 minute sound, light and visual show designed to complement the existing Sky to Sea experience.
The new work will utilise the current infrastructure and is intended to be fun, playful and engaging, with a particular focus on children, families and younger audiences.

Council is seeking creatives with proven experience in sound, lighting, projection and audio visual storytelling, and a demonstrated ability to engage communities through imaginative and accessible content.
The successful proponent will collaborate with Council and key stakeholders, with technical consultation available from Mandylights Pty Ltd, the original creators of Sky to Sea, if required.

This is a multi stage EOI process, beginning with a call out and shortlisting, followed by site visits, concept development and final commissioning.
