Sea Shanties

Exhale Choir

Join Exhale Choir as they perform powerful Sea Shanties amongst the tidal.24: City of Devonport Tasmanian Art Award exhibition.

Hear the choir sing tales of the sea with voices that rise like waves, including favourites like ‘The Wellerman’.

Each week, Exhale Choir come together to ‘raise the roof’, to connect through singing and share their love of music. They actively champion
the wellbeing and mental health benefits of community singing including a sense of belonging and improved mood.

They come together from all walks of life; young professionals, business people, community leaders, parents of young children, older adults, and the newly retired. Some of the singers are professional musicians, while others are standing in-front of you all, performing at their very first concert for the very first time.

Directed by Registered Music Therapist Alex Morse, and accompanied by Meg Magupa, together they love how singers can leave all of their thoughts, worries, stressors and Netflix aside for a few hours each week and leave feeling great. You can join them all on Wednesday Evenings
at the Lifeway Baptist Church on William Street in Devonport at 7.00pm.

Everyone is warmly welcome.

Free event, however places are limited and booking is essential.
