Community choirs and vocal groups come together for a powerful and uplifting celebration of the rich sounds of Gospel music. Featuring favourite groups from previous years alongside exciting new voices, Gospel Song spans heartfelt spirituals to vibrant contemporary numbers. Blending harmony, soul, and community spirit, it’s the perfect way to kick off the festival with joy and inspiration – with special guest, George Washingmachine.

Participating groups include Right On Cue, Exhale Choir, Mersey Singers, City of Devonport Brass, Sheffield Community Singers, Penguin Vocal Ensemble, Wynyard Choir, One Note Stand, and In the Groove — a wonderful cross-section of community singers from across the region celebrating local talent and the shared joy of making music together.
