Lacunae: Tidal

Devonport Regional Gallery

tidal.24 festival

Lacunae: Tidal is Soma Lumia’s exploration of our connection with the waterways that flow through lutruwita/Tasmania and how a sense of connection (to nature, to cities, and to one another) is fundamental to each of our lives.

Visitors to tidal.24 festival sites in Devonport and surrounds can interact with this experience in each location. Lacunae: Tidal will transmit your digital reflection to the other sites, enabling you to dance anonymously with a stranger. Like the rivers and lakes that feed the paranaple/Mersey River to the ocean that surrounds lutruwita/Tasmania, Lacunae: Tidal connects us in ways that might not be obvious.

Move as you like. Nobody will ever know
