LuminoCity at the Gallery
Devonport City Council’s LuminoCity is a light and art project featuring artworks that are projected, static, animated, and some with augmented reality illustrations, and Devonport Regional Gallery is excited to be a part of the 2023 program!
LUMINOUS COMPANIONS
During the July School Holidays our Luminous Companions workshop was well-attended with participants creating creature companions as a response to visiting Fernando do Campo’s ‘To companion a companion’ exhibition, currently showing at the Gallery. Find these creations lit up in the Creative Space windows along Rooke Street as part of LuminoCity!
STOP-MOTION ANIMATIONS
Create & Make after-school workshop participants have been working on stop-motion animations during Term 2 and premiered their films in the Town Hall Theatre during the July School Holidays. The Gallery thanks the Devonport Library for all of their assistance with the projects!
You can view colourful and creative animations from these young artists, on the Market Square big screen just outside of the paranaple arts centre, now showing Daily at 10.00 AM and 4.00 PM until Sunday 30 July as part of LuminoCity!
