I can hear their whispers in the memory of the tides.
Meet Me Here reveals a poetic response through soft sculpture, performance and documentation.
Transformation lingers as possibilities are reimagined and infused in this liminal haven.
Rhythms of tide, woman and expression reveal a lineage of submerged stories and secrets.
In a hierarchy of shoulds and should nots, boundaries are blurred between land and sea.

Laura Purcell is a multidisciplinary artist with a practice in visual and performing arts spanning 20 years. Her performance and art-making methods relate to costume, textiles, soft sculpture, improvisation, photographs and video. Her soft-sculpture explores structural qualities activated by performing bodies or the immediate environment. The artwork, costume, sound suit and extension to the body becomes a poetic energetic exploration. She threads and unravels tensions between personal, environmental, and historical manifestations of invisible labour, care and equity.
