PORTAL enters us into the many moments that make up our lives on the North West Coast

This year, the paranaple arts centre once again welcomes the PORTAL exhibition, a community project that has been running since 2013.
For over a decade, residents of the North West have been asked to share a slice of their lives on Capture Day, a date that shifts each year, gathering a collage of glimpses into ordinary yet remarkable moments.
Through these shared perspectives, PORTAL becomes a mosaic of individual stories, highlighting the shared connections and unique experiences within the community.
This year’s Capture Day fell on Recreation Day, inviting participants to interpret the theme of “tidal”
