Road to Somewhere

Susan Simonini

Simonini’s abstracted landscapes and painted ceramics reflect the artist’s personal and transformative journey and permanent move to North West Tasmania.  The works in this exhibition are a visual exploration of the connection she feels with the local landscape and its unique beauty.

The Little Gallery Project Space Program is open to emerging Tasmanian artists whose projects are innovative and thought-provoking. Projects must also address the Gallery’s mission to be the leading regional gallery of contemporary Tasmanian art, and inspire creativity and ideas through the arts.

The Little Gallery is named in honour of Jean Thomas. Jean’s vision for the Gallery was as a centre for community arts and activities which promoted the work of emerging and established Tasmanian artists alongside national and international artists.
