It’s back! After the overwhelming success of the inaugural event in 2023, TSO is returning to Devonport’s waterfront thanks to Devonport City Council and St Lukes.
Settle back with family and friends in the landscaped surrounds of the waterfront precinct and be serenaded by your orchestra at this FREE concert.
Pack a picnic, or grab supplies from Market Square, and relish the sights and sounds of St Lukes Symphony on the Waterfront.
Although this is a free concert, tickets are required.

The event begins at 12pm on Saturday 08 February 2025. Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra performance begins at 7pm and concludes at 9pm.
An all-day market will be run in Market Square during the day from 12pm-9pm Throughout the afternoon, enjoy a variety of entertainment, including choirs, dancers, tai chi, and more.
This is a free event however tickets are required.

Yes, the entire site is a smoke free event. Smoking is not permitted within the fenced area of the event.
Yes, there will be security onsite for the duration of the event. Bag checks will not be conducted.

While seating is not allocated, zones have been created to help create a more enjoyable experience. Please sit in the appropriate area for your seating preference.
The area in front of the stage is a dedicated “picnic blankets-only” zone with chairs not allowed to keep it comfy for all. You may bring camping chairs to the event, but please place them outside of the blanket-only zone and be mindful of the views of patrons sitting on blankets. Sunshades and umbrellas are prohibited.
Yes, there is an Accessible Drop-off Zone in front of the paranaple building at 137 Rooke Street Devonport. The accessible seating area is marked on the sitemap below.
Car Parking is available in the multi-level car park off Best Street, $2 flat fee. On Street parking is available metered until 2pm, please check signage. Bike parking is available in Market Square, complete with a convenient bike maintenance hub. Bus – Local and intercity (Devonport-Launceston-Hobart) with most routes departing from the bus interchange in Rooke Street.
With the exception of service animals, this is a pet-free event.
This event is not licenced, and alcohol will not be available for purchase. The public may bring alcohol but at their own risk as standard public drinking laws
apply. As with any public space, people that consume alcohol do so at their risk.
A water refill station is available.
Food vendors will be onsite offering a delicious range of hot food, snacks, drinks, and desserts throughout the event. You’re also welcome to pack your own picnic if you prefer!
Food vendors will be operating in Market Square from 12pm.
Yes, pass-outs are allowed during the event. Just ensure you keep your ticket with you for re-entry.
While you’re out, feel free to explore! Visit our wonderful local food and beverage businesses, browse the market at Market Square Pavilion, take a stroll through the Devonport Regional Gallery, or enjoy a walk along the scenic foreshore.
While February is typically dry, there’s always a chance of rain. In the event of inclement weather: Outdoor tickets will be cancelled, and the event will be live-streamed from the paranaple convention centre.
1,000 tickets will be re-released for the indoor venue. To attend, you’ll need to secure a new ticket online.
Notification process: Ticket holders will be notified by email by the Wednesday before the event. Stay updated by checking the Devonport City Council Facebook page.
