Join us on an uplifting journey with this Tassie feature documentary led by the inspiring Captain Sarah Parry as she takes 10 teenagers from refugee backgrounds and 10 Aussie born kids on a remarkable life-changing voyage aboard Windeward Bound, the tall ship she built in Hobart.

Taken way out of their comfort zone, (without a smart phone in sight!) challenged daily, and discovering qualities they didn’t know they had, all the kids find themselves becoming part of a new interdependent community where everyone plays a vital role to sail the ship.

This is a life-affirming story of challenge, change and ultimately, connection.

Filmmakers Franck Dubuc (director/ cinematographer) and Francesca Partridge (writer / producer) will conduct a Q+A with  Captain Sarah Parry AO after the screening.
