Announcing our tidal.24 festival Artist In Residence: Cheryl Rose!

Cheryl Rose makes multi-media work deeply connected to her culture and country.

Over the residency, the Pataway (Burnie) based artist will create intimate drawn images on hand dyed kozo paper that include fragments of country and place. She will connect gallery visitors to her practice through public workshops and while working in the Creative Space and.

Cheryl recently took part in MY COUNTRY: The Country Road + NGV First Nations Commissions, mentored by Denise Robinson. She exhibited in TERMS at Devonport Regional Gallery in 2023 and the Tasmanian Museum and Art gallery’s taypani milaythina-tu; Return to Country in 2022 and has been involved in a range of Public art commissions and workshops in the North West.
