Julie Gough retells the stories of her Aboriginal ancestors in a series of installation pieces. The exhibition challenges our understanding of officially recorded history, and encourages the viewer to reinterpret the recorded past. While the artist obsessively collects materials for her artwork, she also documents her experiences at sites where significant past events have taken place.
