Create & Make: After School Workshops 2024 – Term 1

Devonport Regional Gallery

CREATE & MAKE

The Gallery is pleased to host Create & Make, an after-school workshop program for primary & secondary school-aged children.

The Gallery’s FREE after-school art workshops start back at the end of February!

We are excited to let you know that we have some places available in our Create & Make after-school workshop programs for primary & secondary school-aged children. Create & Make sessions connect to current & upcoming exhibitions and are currently offered on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 4pm – 5pm.

This Term will start with curating an exhibition of works from the Devonport City Council’s Permanent Collection. The group will also get to contribute to an exhibition about magic and create works for All in. – an exhibition open to the entire North West community.

The Create & Make group will work through a process of designing and creating artworks for All in. that show who they are and what they care about, writing statements to go with their entries. There can be some flexibility with media chosen, however we will provide more scaffolding around drawing, painting and mixed media 2D projects in Term 1.
