Remnants by Chloe Bonney: Little Gallery Emerging Artist Program

Remnants is local artist Chloe Bonney’s exploration into two family-owned, abandoned properties in North West Tasmania through the lens of presence, absence and regeneration.

It is composed of photographs, found objects and written word artefacts that create an entropic symphony of the objects and atmosphere making these sites uncanny, liminal spaces.

The images then become a kind of eulogy, mourning, and celebration of the life of the material world alongside the bones of the architectural.
Paying homage to the past reminds us that one day it could be our homes that strangers traipse through and dissect with cameras.
