CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

An exhibition of works by female artists from the Devonport Regional Gallery’s Permanent Collection

3 March – 30 March 2021
paranaple arts centre Foyer Space

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, we present a selection of objects from our permanent collection that highlight the creativity and diversity of women artists. We celebrate their contribution to our cultural life here on the North-West Coast and strive to increase their representation and visibility in our and other Tasmanian cultural organisations.

Artists include Sandra Black, Pat Brassington, Wendy Bulmer, Lisa Garlan, Marianne Huhn, Lyn McDowell, Anne Morrison, Jacki Murphy, Jenny Orchard, Fiona Tabart, and Helen Wright.

Celebrating International Women’s Day at the gallery in 2021 with an exhibition of works from the gallery’s permanent collection and online ceramic workshop Story Vessels. Story Vessels takes inspiration from works by ceramicist Marianne Huhn and includes creating vessels using the pinch pot technique and incorporating text.
