A Day From Now by Sevé de Angelis: Little Gallery Emerging Artist Program

A Day From Now is a reflection on both natural and built environments where the act of painting is a vessel of meditation, tracing the shapes in architecture, footpaths, and natural surroundings. For de Angelis, the painting process is an echo of these reflections, allowing figures to arise through the transient nature of layering paint on the surface of the canvas, unveiling hidden figures in nature.

Sevé de Angelis is an emerging Tasmanian artist from Launceston who is now based in Hobart. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018 at the University of Tasmania, and was a tidal.22 City of Devonport Tasmanian Art Award prize finalist.
