Devonport Choral Society is pleased to stage the Tasmanian premiere of this challenging, inspiring, and very human-centred musical.
The Full Monty introduces a group of ordinary working men facing unemployment, despair, and testing relationships. It also reflects on the impact of unemployment on their families and friends. They discover friendship, confidence, and self-respect. Authors Terrence McNally (Ragtime, and Catch Me If You Can) and David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) have written a show that explores human nature in challenging times. Indeed, these things are literally stripped bare in this musical comedy.
