The Tidal 08: City of Devonport Art Award is a non-acquisitive biennial award is hosted by the Devonport Regional Gallery and funded through the Devonport City Council. The award is open to artists whose 2D work in any medium, represents a response to our contemporary relationship and connection to the sea, coastal regions and communities.
The major award is valued at $10,000 and the Tasmanian award is $3,000. The $1,000 Peoples Choice Award is funded by the Friends of the Gallery Committee and was announced on January 30th 2009.
