Discover the charm of the Don settlement through a remarkable miniature exhibit, crafted over three years by St Brendan-Shaw College’s Year 8 technology students.
Inspired by the success of the 2020 “Coronatown” project, teacher Bevan Schramm saw great value in the project and spearheaded the new version, focusing on local history from the early 1800s to 1880.
Every detail, from scale-model buildings to historical accuracy, reflects the dedication of these students. Based on Faye Gardam’s book about Devonport’s history, the installation will be on display at the Devonport Regional Gallery until Monday 19 February 2024.
